Meet Our Owner

Martha Moore began her journey in the construction industry at her father's asphalt paving company and later established SealTite of Arklahoma, LLC in Mulberry, Arkansas. Recognizing the health hazards associated with traditional asphalt products, Moore pivoted SealTite towards environmentally friendly sealcoating solutions in 2012. The company prides itself on offering an alternative to coal tar-based products, which are linked to increased cancer risks.

Embracing a holistic approach to business management, Moore sought the expertise of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Her dedication to growth led her to complete the SBA's Emerging Leaders program, engage SCORE mentors for strategic planning, and participate in SBA Resource Partner workshops.

Under Moore's leadership, SealTite has grown from a solo venture to a robust team of seven, with a sprawling 16-acre facility that includes offices, a showroom, and operational space. This expansion has been mirrored financially, with the company's revenue skyrocketing by 1,500 percent, from an initial $25,000 to an average of $400,000 annually.

Moore credits the SBA as a crucial support system, stating, "Launching a small business on a tight budget is daunting. Yet, the SBA has consistently provided support, from job costing to advertising, fulfilling various small business needs."

Leaving a Legacy

"Great news! Certified as having NO cancer-causing PAH content. Be aware of what you're exposing your children to when parking lot maintenance occurs at schools, ballparks, malls, and even hospitals. If it smells unpleasant and causes nausea, it's likely coal tar-based and could have serious health implications. Insist on safe products, reasonable prices, and qualified licensed contractors for the job."  -Martha Moore, President

About SealTite

While Sealtite has only been a sealcoating manufacturing/supply company since 2012, our experience in parking lot and asphalt sealcoating is in no way limited. Founder Martha Moore has been working in the blacktop trade since 1990, where she got her start in road building at her family’s construction business.

During this time, she learned the intricacies that go into laying asphalt parking lots and roads as well as the importance of a good asphalt driveway sealer to complete the job. Needless to say, we are familiar with not only our product, but the essential asphalt sealer equipment used for constructing an asphalt parking lot. Martha learned about Asphalt Emulsified Sealers vs. coal tar sealers at a product expo in 2010. She immediately saw the potential in the product as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional asphalt sealcoating materials.

An opportunity presented itself to Martha, she began working as a manufacturer of Sealtite, learning all she could about the advantages it provides as an asphalt sealer. But most importantly, the advantage of a healthier workforce and environment through use of a top quality safe product.

Producing excellence in quality at a reasonable price!

Martha truly believes in the value that Sealtite brings to a construction project. So much so, that she determined the best way to grow awareness of the product was to join the sealcoating company as a regional distributor. Today, Martha manages Sealtite because she truly believes in the product. No sealcoating options are as eco-friendly as Sealtite without sacrificing the quality of protection it offers. If you’re looking for the best in parking lot sealcoating & sealcoating machines, look no further. Sealtite: Green Asphalt Maintenance has what you need.

FAQs

Q: What is Sealcoating?

A: Asphalt is full of oils and binders. Over time these oils and binders are evaporated by the sun, causing the asphalt to turn gray in color. Asphalt begins to lose aggregate and is rough and porous. Eventually, asphalt will begin to crack and potholes will begin to form. Asphalt sealcoating is a preventative measure to maximize the asphalt's lifespan and maintain your investment.

Q: How often should I reseal my asphalt driveway/parking lot?

A: As a general rule you should seal your driveway every 1 to 3 years. More specifically, if you can see the color of the individual stones that make up your asphalt surface, you know it's time to reseal it.

Q: Should I fill these cracks in my asphalt?

A: Most driveways will have at least a few cracks, which must be repaired before you apply an asphalt sealer. It's important to repair all cracks, even the smallest ones. If you don't, they'll only grow wider and longer over time.

Q: What is an asphalt emulsion?

A: An asphalt emulsion consists of three basic components: asphalt, water and an emulsifying agent. An asphalt emulsion is a stable dispersion of asphalt cement droplets in water, which can be pumped, stored and mixed with aggregates.

Q: What is coal-tar?

A: As the name suggests, coal-tar is derived from coal. Coal-tar is used primarily for the production of refined chemicals and coal-tar products, such as creosote and coal-tar pitch. Coal-tar is proven to cause cancer.
